I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a specific interest in working with families and children. I strongly believe that caregivers play a vital role in treatment and strive to include them in therapeutic work whenever possible. In addition to my private clinical work, I also work on a community mental health team providing therapy, case management, family therapy and group therapy to children and teens between the ages of 6 and 19. My approach to therapy draws from training and experience in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Emotion Focused Family Therapy. Other areas of my clinical interest include working with clients experiencing anxiety including phobias, OCD, trauma, loss and grief, mood, self-esteem and life transitions. In addition to my counselling work, I also have experience in assessment, including work as a psychometrician at Compass Clinic and previous experience in clinical research examining social determinants of health. Outside of work, I can be found walking my dog and cat, testing recipes, and planning future travel.
