Jessica Baraskewich, Clinical Psychology Intern
I am an Assessing Clinician at Compass Clinic working with children, teens, and young adults providing psychological assessment and intervention work under the supervision of a registered psychologist. I am a PhD Candidate at the University of Calgary in the School and Applied Child Psychology program. I hold a Master of Science in School and Applied Child Psychology from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor’s in psychology from Lakehead University.
In my work with children, youth, and their families, I take an integrative approach that is guided by understanding an individual’s development in relation to the systems in which they live. I conduct clinical work through a child and family-centered focus that aims to incorporate the families’ strengths and resources. I have experience working with clients from early childhood to young adulthood in outpatient, community, and educational settings. I have extensive experience conducting psychoeducational assessments as well as group and individual intervention with children and youth with a variety of learning, developmental, and mental health needs.
