Dorna Rahimi – Assessing Clinician

My name is Dorna, an assessing clinician and doctoral candidate at UBC. My doctoral residency at the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board honed my passion for working with young minds. Currently finalizing my dissertation, I use ecological and trauma-focused approaches to assessment and working with families. Drawing from my experience in clinical and school settings, my passion lies in understanding the lived experiences of clients and their families, allowing me to tailor my approach to their unique needs. My mission is to merge research and real-world practice, providing meaningful support for children and young adults. Through a blend of academic rigour and hands-on engagement, I’m dedicated to fostering growth and resilience, creating a positive impact on the well-being of future generations.
