David Fainstein, Assessing Clinician

I completed my pre-doctoral internship at the British Columbia School and Applied Psychology Internship Consortium with Compass Clinic as one of my main training sites. My work included psychological assessment, therapeutic intervention, and consultation under supervision from Registered Psychologists on staff at Compass. With respect to my practice orientation, I integrate several strands of clinical experience and applied research to offer insights on learning and behaviour. I use an open, approachable style to understand more about the kinds of information that I can help uncover through direct psychological service. My collegiate training runs coast-to-coast, with a B.Sc from the University of Victoria, an M.A. in School Psychology from Mount Saint Vincent University, an M.Sc in Special Education from the University of Oregon, and a Ph.D from the University of Oregon. My recent research and applied work focuses on professional supports to intervene on at-risk learners with useful instructional practices.
