I am an active member of both the College of Alberta Psychologists, as well as the College of BC Psychologists. I have worked as an Educational Psychologist since 1998. I graduated with a Master of Education with a specialization in Educational Psychology from the University of Alberta in 1993, completed my 1600-hour internship at the Calgary Catholic School District, and upon obtaining my registration as a psychologist in March 2001, joined the Calgary Board of Education. After a period of five years, I assumed the position of Manager of Assessment Services at Foothills Academy, a private school dedicated to the educational needs of students with learning disabilities. Since October 2010, I have worked in private practice providing specialized psychoeducational assessments. As such, I have developed considerable expertise in the assessment and diagnosis of learning disabilities, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and giftedness for children, teens, and adults. I have also provided assessment services for Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) and Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) programs, contract to the Foothills Creative Beginnings Preschool program, and previously completed AISH and psych/vocational assessments on contract to Mandel and Associates for a period of eight years. I previously participated on the Oral Examination Committee for new psychologists, and have supervised numerous provisional psychologists who, upon registration, have gone on to successful practices across Canada. As the parent of two adult children who experienced learning challenges and ADHD, I offer both a professional and personal approach in my work.
