Randall Gillis, PhD

I am a Clinical Psychologist, registered in Alberta, in the process of registering in British Columbia. Over the past decade, I have worked with children and their families in a number of settings and have provided evidence-based assessment and therapy for children with a number of challenges including Autism, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, anxiety and emotion regulation difficulties. I work from a collaborative and flexible Cognitive Behavioural Therapy framework. I also draw on mindfulness based interventions. I always strive to find the strengths of children and their families and to build upon these. I completed my PhD at the University of Waterloo, with funding from an Ontario Graduate Scholarship and a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Canadian Graduate Scholarship. I completed my residency with the Edmonton Consortium in Clinical Psychology, working at the University of Alberta Hospital and Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital.
